Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar Hosted Groundbreaking Ceremony
May 16 event marked the exciting launch of new Tampa Flagship, opening in Spring 2024
Tampa, FL (May 17, 2023) – Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar hosted a special private groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, May 16 to celebrate the launch of the new Tampa Flagship location, set to open in Spring 2024. The event was attended by local dignitaries and media, as well as executives from Bloomin’ Brands and Fleming’s. In addition, partners on the project from ArchitecturePlus International (api(+)), AECOM, Conner Landscape Architects and Venture Construction Company were present for this momentous occasion.
The new restaurant will encompass more than 13,000 square feet, including seating for up to 375 guests inside, as well as outdoor patio dining. The restaurant will feature two separate experiential wine and cocktail bar areas. It will also include five private rooms for business or social events, featuring one al fresco dining area and state-of-the-art AV systems.
"Yesterday’s groundbreaking ceremony was just the beginning of the journey for our new Tampa Flagship restaurant,” said Patrick English, Vice President of Operations for Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. “We were thrilled to kick off this project in our backyard as we begin to build the premier steakhouse for our friends and neighbors in the Tampa Bay community.”
The new Fleming’s restaurant is inspired by modern Napa Valley architecture and design, featuring a dramatic porte-cochere, extending our above and beyond hospitality from entry to departure. Sixteen foot glass walls surround all dining areas with sound absorbing vaulted ceilings to allow for a more intimate experience.
The geometric architecture throughout is evocative of wine country - meant to bring the beauty of the outdoors in and provide sense of calm through curated landscaping. The new interior will feature soft, earth-toned neutrals among an array of exquisite décor elements, such as a luxurious vineyard-like chandelier, a pebble shell bar that represents the Florida and California coastlines as ties to the community and Fleming’s heritage, as well as a stunning glass wine vault that holds 2,700 bottles of perfectly chilled wine.
